“Kathak Nrityashala” is a Kathak Learning Centre in the vicinity of Noida under the guidance of famous Kathak Dancer “Pooja Tripathi” of Lucknow Gharana, having more than 25 years of experience in Kathak. Her aim is to promote and propagate Kathak dance among the younger generation. She has won numerous accolades for her participation in various events since her childhood, including awards from Sangeet Natak Academy of Uttar Pradesh. In addition to her Kathak sadhana, she has choreographed various shows and events and written a bunch of prose poetry too. Now she teaches Kathak to young aspirants to promote kathak legacy in today's generation.

Pooja Tripathi is a promising Kathak Dancer of Lucknow Gharana. Pooja is holding the title of “Naveen in Kathak” which she completed under the tutelage of Guru Mamta Maharaj (daughter of late Padma Vibhushan Guru Birju Maharaj).

Earlier, Pooja was graduated in all the three disciplines, viz., ‘Kathak (Dance)’, ‘Tabla (Instrument)’ and ‘Gaayan (Vocal)’ from “Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj” and conferred the title of sangeet “Prabhakar”.

She has also been conferred “Kathak Visharad” from “Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh” and “Prabhakar in Kathak” from “Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj”
She has received many awards from ‘Sangeet Natak Academy, Lucknow’
Pooja has started her initial training in Kathak, Tabla and Gaayan since the age of 5 years under the guidance of late Pandit Alok Banerjee.
At a very young age, she has received many awards from ‘Sangeet Natak Academy, Lucknow’. Apart from this, she has also been honoured with ‘Sarojini Naidu International Women Award’, ‘Sashakt Naari Sammaan’, ‘Women Achiever Award’ etc.
Performed in Kathak programmes at various locations
Pooja and her students have performed in Kathak programmes at various locations, viz., “Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra, Noida”, “Hindi Bhavan, Ghaziabad”, “Triveni Kala Sangam, Delhi”, “Surajkund Craft Festival, Faridabad”, “Chhatarpur Mandir, Delhi”, “Meghdootam Park, Noida” and “Kala Gram (Mahakumbh), Prayagraj”.
She has also been called to judge dance competitions by various intitutions.
Other Hobbies
In her free time, she remains busy with her hobby of fashion designing which she left behind because of her passion for Kathak. Despite her busy schedule, she always finds the time for her tiny pots, to show her love for plants.
