Classes Timing and Duration

Kathak Nrityashala” is open to all enthusiasts 7 days a week (10AM-8PM). But as every form needs some discipline, the admission to the class is solely depends on individual’s commitment.

Though dance can be learnt at any age, the minimum age criteria for admission to the class is 5 years, as Kathak dance is having theory part too and younger kids are not able to learn theory.

The Nrityashala ensures the authenticity of dance form and therefore conducts yearly examinations in affiliation with Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj.
 

At present various batches consists of: 

  • School going kids (weekend/evening batch)
  • Homemakers (weekdays daytime batch)
  • Working ladies (late evening batch)
  • Senior ladies (weekdays daytime batch)

 

Other batches according to requirement The various dance forms taught at Nrityashala are:

  • Kathak in original form
  • Classical
  • Semi-classical
  • Folk
  • Choreographed dance forms for specific events


The admission to any class is solely based on the recommendation of the mentor (as admission to any class is age dependent too). The various classes offered for admission are:
 

  • Praveshika
  • First Year
  • Second Year
  • Third Year
  • Fourth Year
  • Fifth Year
  • Sixth Year
  • After Sixth year, performance based admission will be accorded as decided by mentor.
